CHD AWARENESS WEEK

It’s almost that time again. Feb is heart month, and Feb 7-14 is CHD Awareness week. My son was born with a CHD (transposition of the great arteries).  The above pictures show him after 7 hours of heart surgery at 3 days old, and now at 6 years old.

He sees a cardiologist every year for follow up, but nothing further is required.  He is a normal and energetic 6 year old boy.

Holy Crap!!!!  Now thats a knife kill!

Job Hunting…..A frustrating ordeal

So I was “released” from my employer of 8 years last August.  I have been hunting for a freaking job ever since.  I have a decent background in  IT and Accounting.  The problem is that in the madison area, it’s like….300 people applying for 1 job.

I have my resume on 3 job search sites and I have talked to 3 seperate staffing agencies.  I can’t get a sniff anywhere.  So frustrating………………!

Welcome….I guess….

So I decided to join this strange world of blogging.  Why, you ask?  Well, why the hell not?

So here we are….

A little about me…I am 37, currently unemployed, married, and a father of a 6 year old boy.  I am an X-box360 fanboy and also addicted to my ITouch.  Why no IPHONE?  Not much of a phone guy, although I would enjoy the 3G connectivity when there is no WIFI.

I am a music lover and I pretty much listen to anything.  My roots are in hard rock, but I have a pretty wide variety that I like except twangy county, classical, and pop.

I am a twitter addict and use facebook every once in a while.  My wife is a Facebook-aholic.

I also like playing poker, but my skills have seriously gone to hell since unemployment.
